Community Trust, Safety and Access to Information in a Multicultural City

The council approved my motion to consult with multicultural community residents about barriers to accessing civic information, and opportunities to strengthen awareness, trust, inclusion, and participation and to investigate options for the City of Sydney to establish a presence on prominent digital platforms popular with the Chinese community for the purpose of sharing relevant civic, community, and safety information in-language and in culturally appropriate formats.

This motion came after listening to residents at my community safety forum, which you can learn more about here.
